Irlam House is a residential block in Liverpool comprising 91 onebedroom flats requiring a full upgrade of ageing mechanical and electrical systems as part of a wider refurbishment programme.
Nova Mechanical & Electrical was appointed on a design and build contract to deliver a complete M&E refurbishment. The project required coordinated design, efficient installation, and careful planning to minimise disruption to residents throughout the works.
We provided a full mechanical and electrical design package and delivered all installation works, including:
– Complete electrical infrastructure replacement across all 91 flats
– New distribution boards, containment, wiring, and safety systems
– Full mechanical refurbishment, including heating, ventilation, and domestic services
– Upgrades to plant areas, pumping equipment, and control systems
– Coordination with the main contractor to ensure safe access, phased working, and compliance with all regulations
The project delivered a fully modernised M&E system across the building, improving safety, reliability, and energy efficiency for residents. All works were completed in line with programme requirements, with coordinated phasing to maintain building operation throughout.
